Letter of Employment Policy

This policy outlines Togetherhood's guidelines for issuing letters of employment verification and recommendation for Enrichment Providers in our network.

1. Definitions

  • Letter of Employment / Verification – A document confirming a person’s work history, role, and tenure.

2. Employment Status Disclaimer

Our organization operates as a marketplace platform connecting enrichment providers with teaching opportunities. We do not employ instructors; all teaching engagements are on an independent contractor basis.

Accordingly, letters issued will reflect this contractor status and will not describe any individual as an “employee” of the organization.

3. Eligibility for Letters

3.1 Employment Verification

We may provide a Letter of Employment Verification confirming that an individual has contracted with us and delivered classes through our platform if:

  • The instructor has taught at least one completed class through our marketplace.

  • The instructor’s engagement is verifiable through our records.

  • The letter will specify the nature of the relationship as independent contractor, not employee.

We cannot issue a letter for individuals who:

  • Have not yet conducted any classes through our platform.

  • Have only taught a portion of a term.
  • Have only been approved or onboarded but not yet engaged in teaching.

4. Request Process

  • Requests must be submitted in writing to info@togetherhood.us.

  • The request should specify the type of letter, purpose, and intended recipient.

  • Standard processing time is 5 business days from receipt of all required information.

5. Content Limitations

  • Letters will only contain factual, verifiable information from our records.

  • We will not speculate on skills, experiences, or roles not directly observed through work on our platform.

  • All letters will include a statement clarifying the independent contractor relationship.

  • No Backdating or Alteration: We will not issue letters with inaccurate dates, altered records, or information inconsistent with our official records.

  • Confidentiality: Letters will not include personal or sensitive information (e.g., contact details, compensation) unless specifically required and authorized by the requester in writing.

6. Right to Decline

We reserve the right to decline requests that do not meet the above criteria or if issuing the letter could be misleading, inaccurate, or inconsistent with our records.
