Punctuality Policy
This policy outlines the expectations for providers to prioritize punctuality and commit to upholding consistent learning environments.
Being on time is crucial for maintaining the quality of our programs and upholding Togetherhood’s reputation as the premier choice for afterschool enrichment. When educators are late, it causes a disruption in the learning experience, impacting not just your class but the entire school community. Your cooperation in following these guidelines is greatly appreciated and helps us keep the magic in our classrooms alive!
Expectations
- Arrive Early: Providers are expected to arrive to teach their class by their "Arrive By" time (15 minutes before class start time) to set up, check in, and locate their designated teaching area.
- Plan for Delays: Transportation issues are not an excuse for lateness. Early arrival buffers against unexpected delays.
-
Notify Togetherhood of Any Delays
If you are running late due to an unexpected circumstance, you must notify the Togetherhood Support Team before the class start time by:-
Emailing: info@togetherhood.us
-
Texting: (347) 835-5830
You should not contact the school partner directly about lateness unless they’ve explicitly requested to be informed by the provider. In that case, notify Togetherhood first, then follow up with the partner if necessary.
We should never hear of a delay after the scheduled start of the class.
-
Late Arrival Consequences
Tardiness exceeding 10 minutes after the "Arrive By" time will result in a payment deduction that will be determined by the length of the delay.
- 0-9 minutes late:
- Two or more offenses will result in fewer classes being offered to you.
- 10-29 minutes late:
- 25% deduction in pay rate for affected class session.
- Two or more offenses will result in fewer classes being offered to you.
- 30-44 minutes late:
- 50% deduction in pay rate for affected class session.
- One offense will result in your Provider profile being flagged for review.
- Two or more offenses will put your contract at risk of suspension or termination.
- 45 minutes late or more:
- You will not be paid for the session. Togetherhood compensates our Enrichment Providers for successfully delivering their classes, and arriving this late prevents the session from running effectively or successfully.
- One offense will put your contract at risk of suspension or termination.
Important: If you are running 30 minutes or more late to the Arrive By time and the School Partner chooses to cancel the session, you will be subject to a $25 penalty. However, if the School Partner opts to schedule a makeup session, this penalty will be waived if you teach the makeup session.
Multiple offenses will impact your standing in the network and place your account under review by Togetherhood's Learning & Development Team.
Assistant Punctuality Policy
Punctuality is equally essential for Assistant roles, as late arrivals can disrupt classroom flow and diminish the quality of support provided to the lead educator and students. To maintain a professional standard, Togetherhood applies a pay deduction model based on the percentage of class time missed.
Pay Deduction for Lateness
If an Assistant arrives late, their pay for that session will be reduced proportionally based on how much of the class they miss. For example:
-
If the class is 60 minutes and the Assistant arrives 15 minutes late, that constitutes 25% of the class missed, resulting in a 25% pay deduction.
-
If 30 minutes late to a 60-minute class, the pay deduction would be 50%, and so on.
This deduction reflects the importance of the full presence and participation of Assistants in supporting the delivery of high-quality enrichment programming.
Notification Requirement
Assistants must notify the Togetherhood Support Team before the class start time if they anticipate being late:
-
Email: info@togetherhood.us
-
Text: (347) 835-5830
Late arrivals without timely notification may result in further administrative action or impact future assignments.
